- Troubleshooting the issues that arise during ground/air test during trials and on the production line.
- Create and maintain documentation in support of production and development.
- Seeing your developed projects through from prototype into productionised equipment.
- Collaborate with other departments where required to ensure delivery of projects and products.
- Instruct technicians on manufacture and testing procedures relating to your designs.
- Support flight testing and demonstrations in the UK and overseas, showing your developed capabilities to the customer.

You will generate innovative ideas to overcome these challenges, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the field. You will also play a vital role in analysing data from both simulation and real-world testing. By evaluating and refining the system's performance, you will contribute to enhancing its capabilities and overall efficiency.As part of your responsibilities, you will tackle complex issues related to software components distributed across multiple processors. Flight testing of new autonomous features will also be under your purview.
By operating unmanned systems, you will have the opportunity to evaluate and validate the performance of these features in real-world scenarios.
The ideal candidate will have past experience, at least 2+ years, designing systems and implementing hardware and software designs that enable machines to operate in unconstrained environments with minimal operator support.
Candidates must be able to obtain authorization to travel to the United States under the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).
Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable engineering field, such as Robotics or UAS Control.* 2+ years of practical experience of uncrewed vehicle software development or embedded software development using C++ or Python.
* 3D environment reconstruction (SLAM), tracking and prediction, perception, localization, estimation, navigation and machine learning.
