We collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care to our patients while fostering a supportive environment where every member can thrive.
In this role, you'll focus on acute stroke services for Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG), with an extended reach to the wider Severn Region. Our Comprehensive Stroke Centre, based at the Brunel Building, Southmead Hospital, is at the heart of stroke care in the region, offering advanced procedures like 24/7 Mechanical Thrombectomy.
Responsibilities include supporting acute services, participating in Mon-Fri transient ischaemic attack (TIA) clinics, handling ward referrals at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, and contributing to bi-weekly ward consultant rounds at the Stroke Sub Acute Rehab Units (SSARU's) located at South Bristol Community Hospital and Weston General Hospital.
We are seeking a Consultant Stroke Physician to join our team on a full-time basis (10 PA plus on-call). The successful applicant will hold qualifications such as MRCP or equivalent and maintain full GMC registration, with a CCT in Stroke Medicine or equivalent. They will also have relevant experience in stroke care and management, with training in diagnosing and treating cerebrovascular conditions.
