Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;

Highway maintenance

Patching (Carriageway and Footway)

Paving

Kerbing

Drainage repairs

Ducting

Signs

Sign and bollard maintenance

Emergency call out attendance (additional payments when out of hours)

Winter maintenance (additional payments when out of hours)

Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;

To maintain the highway to TFL's required standard by carrying out safe, good quality repairs.
***
Formal qualifications required;

Full UK Driving license

Street works
***
Skills required;

Familiar in the use of smart phones and tablets
***
Experience required;

Minimum; practical construction/ Civil Engineering (Lower pay band)

Desired; fully trained and qualified Highway Maintenance Operatives (upper pay band)
***
Knowledge;

Local London network knowledge

Street works reinstatement

Traffic management

Personal qualities;

Can do, will do attitude

Willing to speak up when something does not seem safe

Open, adaptable, team player
