Applicants who do not meet the essential criteria will be considered under the Annex 21 training programme where whilst undergoing training they will be paid 75% of the top of Band 3 (£20,615) and on completion of training will then move on to Band 3 scale.
University Hospital Monklands is looking for a Senior Assistant Technical Officer to help lead pharmacy staff in our stores.
Pharmacy stores is a crucial operational area which provides a patient focused quality service to assure an efficient and timely supply of pharmaceutical products.
JOB PURPOSE
- To provide patient focused quality service to assure an efficient and timely supply of pharmaceutical products.
- To be the team leader for pharmacy staff working within goods receipt area.
- The accurate and safe assembly of medicines to be dispensed.
- To receive, check, package and despatch pharmaceutical goods.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB
- Scottish Vocational Qualification Level II
- Two years experience as an assistant technical officer.
- Experience in hospital practice
- Able to plan, prioritise and organise workload and work under pressure.
- Able to work under their own initiative and as part of a team.
- Commitment to CPD / Self motivation
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate customer awareness/focus.
- Willingness to contribute to the general working of the pharmacy department.
