Job Title:
DevOps EngineerClearance required: SC (Active preferred, eligible candidates can be considered)

Location:
Hybrid, remote plus Croydon 2-3 days per weekContract role

Job Description:

• As per customer SC policy to work on production environment, a resource needs to be Single UK National, No Dual Nationality allowed.
• A resource needs to travel 2-3 days to client site, East Croydon to access S-Room which has servers working on production deployments, Remote access/working from home is not allowed on those 2-3 days and one must be physically present in that room to do production deployments.
• Overnight production deployment
• once in a month requirement: A resource needs to work overnight to do production deployment once in a monthMust have Technologies:The must have requirements centre around the base technology platforms that we build all our infrastructure:
• AWS
• Cloud Formation or Terraform
• Nginx
• Linux administration
• Packer

Collaboration tools (Git, Jira, Confluence, etc)Note the more senior the resource then the following become Must have's:

• Kubernetes
• Docker

Hashicorp tools (Packer, Consul, Vault, etc)Skills:

• Working within an agile context with the use of CI
• Articulate a logical design, and understand how this translates to physical infrastructure
• Experience with defining and working with the constraint of NFRs such as cost, scalability, availability
• The must have skills will determine how well they will be able to integrate into our way of working and
• The principals we use when making strategic and long-term decisions

Nice to have:

• Kubernetes
• Docker
• Hashicorp tools (Packer, Consul, Vault, etc)
• Other networking technologies
