    Design Manager / Senior Design Manager (Data Centre)

    Permanent, Full-timeLocation:

    Central LondonSalary: £70, £110,000.00 per year + packageMy client are a leading tier 1 main contractor with a strong presence in the UK & Europe and they are currently seeking a Design Manager / Senior Design Manager to join their Data Centre Division.

    You will report directly to the Design Director and play a crucial role in all aspects of Design.

    This is a unique opportunity in which you will be working in the rapidly expanding Data Centre Projects division of the business.

    You will take on a pivotal role overseeing the Design of multiple large-scale data centre schemes.


    Responsibilities:


    End to end design delivery process starting from brief definition and internal alignment with various stakeholders, to appointment, management and review of external design vendors that carry out design work for projectsEnsure regular reporting of progress against agreed plans to senior members of Design and Engineering and the associated project managers.

    Advise and ensure corrective action taken promptly to address any design issuesEnsure quality and value for money received through third party appointmentsHelp development of new tools, processes, and procedures for best practice design managementDevelop and manage long term relationships with key third party design and equipment vendorsInterface with peers within other departments within the region and with peers in D&E teams globallyWhat is needed from you:

    University Degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Engineering or equivalentExperience working within multi-disciplinary design teams, preferably in a leading roleGood written and oral communication skills in English.
