The Human Resources function plays an integral part in supporting the businesses' People Strategy and offers professional HR support and guidance to each area of the organisation.

We are pleased to be recruiting for a brand-new role to our HR team As the HR Administrator you will get actively involved in supporting the team to manage Employee Relations procedures and be the first point of contact for our managers and colleagues across the business, triaging queries and escalating where needed.

You will support the HR Advisers and HR Managers by acting as first point of contact, managing the People Inbox and supporting the wider team by allocating the queries to them.

You will provide an empathetic and pragmatic service aligned to our Company Values to our Operations Divisions across the UK.

There will also be opportunities to support and work on various People, Engagement, Charity, and Wellbeing related projects throughout the year.

Our team also support our Charity Committee, the Engagement Team and our team of Mental Health First Aiders, as well as gaining experience with some aspects of employee relations in the role so this is a great opportunity for a colleague who is looking to start their career in HR.

Salary:
£22,050-£24,000 DOE


What you will be doing:


  • To be the first point of contact for all HR queries within the team, which may mean remotely via MS Teams and face to face
  • Support the team to advise and guide our Operational managers on issues related to employee relations in line with Company policy and ACAS best practice
  • Support the team to advise and guide our colleagues in an empathetic manner on issues related to employee relations in line with Company policy and ACAS best practice
  • Triage all queries that come into the People Inbox in line with SLAs, escalating to either the People Advisers or People Manager using a riskbased approach
  • Manage all administrative paperwork in relation to case work in line with the HR Team SLAs
  • Ensure that all HR case data is kept up to date and managed in line with the HR Team SLAs
  • Complete all standard company references in line with DPA 2018, GDPR and our SLAs
  • Provide support to the People Advisers, People Manager and the Head of HR
  • Assist in the delivery of the Company Wellbeing Strategy
  • Support the Engagement Team, Charity Committee and Mental Health Fist Aiders where needed
  • Once trained, manage an ongoing caseload including and not limited to
  • Family Friendly, Probation reviews and shortterm absence

What we're looking for:


  • Experience in managing and working from a highvolume shared mailbox
Experienced in dealing with customer queries with an empathetic approach in line with company policies

  • Entrylevel understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace
  • Entry level understanding of legislation relevant to the business area, including but not limited to the Equality Act 2010, Working Time Regulations 1998, Data Protection Act 2010 and Employment Rights Act 199
  • CIPD L3 would be advantageous however not essential
