Hovis has two new roles at our Avonmouth site for Mechanical or Multiskilled Maintenance Engineers.Working with the Engineering Manager and alongside other likeminded engineers and production team members, you will be responsible for the reactive and proactive maintenance of the equipment on the bakery site.
You will undertake corrective maintenance and bench overhaul activities as required# You will review and technically validate all CILTs (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate, Test) generated by the autonomous maintenance team, escalating items that fall outside own skills base and experience, review and authorise Autonomous Maintenance counter measures
# You will initiate RCA (Route Cause Analysis) investigations into Plant issues and equipment malfunctions
# Participate in PPPM's and line overhauls as requested by the Shift Manager / Engineering Lead
Recognised time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline with HNC/HND, Engineer Degree or other relevant qualification - Essential
At last 4 years demonstrable experience of maintenance within an automated FMCG / bakery environment - Essential
Experience of welding - Essential
PLC knowledge
~18th Edition Electrical regs
This role is a shift role with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. 2 days / 2 nights / 4 off - with a 6am / 6pm shift change time.
Candidate must have the right to work in the UK without the need for a sponsorship visa.
Please be aware that experience of welding and machining are essential skills for this role - if you do not have these skills your application will not be considered.
