NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles.

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

We are seeking individuals to join the team in Older People & Stroke Service QEUH in Wards 62, Hyper

  • Acute Stroke + Wards 56 & 57, Stroke Rehabilitation.
You should have excellent communication and organizational skills and excel in a busy working environment.

You will assist the trained nursing staff in the delivery of a range of patient care procedures and provide basic nursing care to patients.


You will assist patients with activities of daily living and assist the Registered Nurse and where appropriate other members of the Clinical Team to deliver patient care.


You will:

  • Cooperate with and maintain good relationships with other disciplines that are attending and treating our service users to maximise patient care and maintain good relationships
  • Have an empathic approach to clients' carers and relatives and refer them to a trained nurse for any questions they may have on the clients' condition or for any suggestions or concerns that they wish to raise.
  • You will preferably have had previous hospital experience in an acute setting, but not essential.
Hours available are 37.5, 34.65, 23.10hrs//week 12 hour day shift/night shift rotation.
