We are urgently seeking an Oracle Database Migration Project Manager that will be leading a large scale, complex Oracle database migration (11g to 23c) as part of a large scale tech refresh programme.

This for our client who are a Global IT Service Provider. This will be on a contract and based remotely.

The candidate must have a track record of demonstrable Oracle database migration projects to time, cost and quality.
We are looking for an experienced, articulate, motivated, reliable and pragmatic Senior Project Manager to deliver this hugely important project.

Skills Required

• Migration of servers from differing operating systems
• Performance testing
• Technically aware - capable of interacting with technical and non-technical team members
• Engaging/communicating with Oracle management, sales & support
• Awareness of escalation processes within Oracle

Role Purpose

The Senior Project Manager's prime responsibility is to ensure that a complex high risk project or multiple projects, produces the required products, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost.

Key Accountabilities

Effective management of the project baseline

Defines the project requirements, ensuring that the requirements catalogue traceability matrix is complete

Manages the agreement process of the project requirements and objectives with the Project Board or appointed project assurance role. Operates along the client's working practices ensuring compliance with local project management policy and procedure

Manages the production of the required products and the delivery of the project in partnership with the customer and business unit to ensure acceptance.
