Reed Accountancy is delighted to be working once again with one of Scotland's most reputable charitable organisations in their search for a Finance Officer.


The purpose of this role is to oversee the day-to-day financial processes and ensure effective practices and procedures are in place.

Location -
Edinburgh
Salary - £27,000 - £28,000

Hours - 35 hours (Full-time & permanent)


And what does the job entail?

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts including the balance sheets
  • Maintaining the forecasting and implementing project
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Analysing the expenditure
  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Raising payments (BACS/Cheques
  • Maintaining the sales ledger
  • Processing expenses
  • Quarterly VAT Returns
  • Preparation and posting of the payroll
  • Processing all Accounts Payable & Receivable

What we are looking for:


  • Accountancy qualification (HND/AAT)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate with and support nonfinancial colleagues
  • Experience on MS Excel
