Complete Classroom Services are looking for a Behavior Mentor within a specialised school environment, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviors to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

You will work closely with both primary and secondary level students, providing individualised support, guidance, and intervention strategies to enhance their resilience and facilitate their success within the school community.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide oneonone support to students with Autism, ADHD, and challenging behavior, assisting them in managing their emotions, developing coping strategies, and improving their social skills.
  • Implement behavior management plans and interventions tailored to the unique needs of each student, with a focus on fostering positive behavior and reducing instances of disruption or aggression.
  • Support students in developing selfregulation skills and improving their ability to navigate social interactions.
  • Facilitate group sessions or workshops focused on social skills development, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation, providing students with opportunities to practice and reinforce positive behaviors in a structured setting.
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on student progress, challenges, and achievements.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to share insights, exchange best practices, and coordinate efforts to support the holistic development of each student.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Strong understanding of behavior management principles, including positive behavior support strategies, deescalation techniques, and crisis intervention methods.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Resilience, patience, and empathy when working with students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and the school community.
  • Certification in behavior management techniques (e.g., CPI, SCIP) is desirable.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and clearance procedures required for working with children and vulnerable populations.

Complete Classroom Services are highly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

You will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau) and undergo due diligence checks on social media use.

All school-based staff have the responsibility for promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children.

All school staff should be aware of the school's Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and work in accordance with this document at all times.


Salary:
£90.00-£110.00 per day
