- Qualified as a Solicitor, and probably gained between 1 and 4 years' experience of patent litigation.
- Ideally, in addition to having a genuine interest in innovation and technology, have a hard science academic background.
- Excellent academics.
- Strong legal skills, including drafting, negotiation and project management skills; foundation level people management and business development skills.
- The aptitude to work on large, high profile and technically complicated matters.
- Willingness to learn and the ability to work hard.
- Commerciality, and the ability to work in a sometimes fast-paced, intellectually challenging environment.
- The ability to deal with clients and colleagues in a relaxed and confident manner.
