    Description

    I am delighted to be able to present this fantastic opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join a friendly law firm in Eastbourne on a fixed-term contract of 13 months to cover maternity leave. Your role will be to support the Completions Department Manager in the provision of Conveyancing Completions.

    The Role

    • Dealing with Conveyancing files from exchange of Contracts through to Completion
    • Using a CMS to process and progress cases
    • Setting up and dealing with completions (including scanning, faxing, printing, filing & collating documentation in relation to contracts, leases and transfers
    • Ensuring that all payments such as BACS, Banke Transfers, Faster Payments and cheques are set up correctly
    • Creating bills & statements for clients
    • Making sure that all authorised invoices are dealt with in a timely manner
    • Dealing directly with clients if receiving payment by cash or cheque

    Experience Required

    • Working knowledge of Conveyancing and Accounts
    • Experience of working within a legal environment
    • Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
    • Ability to produce a high standard of work under pressure
    • Practical experience of handling client enquiries both face-to-face and over the phone
    • Good computer/keyboard skills
