    Department Overview:

    The Legal Project Management (LPM) team is a global unit dedicated to enhancing the efficiency of the legal operations. We aim for LPM professionals to collaborate closely with our lawyers and clients, overseeing the seamless execution of matters from inception to completion. Additionally, LPMs are tasked with establishing and maintaining the infrastructure necessary for implementing LPM techniques across various matters.

    Role Summary:

    As the Head of Legal Project Management, you will lead the firm's LPM initiatives on a global scale. Collaborating with practice group leads, partner stakeholders, and other key departments, you will develop and execute strategies to advance our LPM vision, with success gauged by its impact on client satisfaction and internal performance metrics. This role is global in scope, with team members stationed worldwide, and will be based in a major office location.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Develop, manage, and refine the firm's LPM program in conjunction with legal and non-legal stakeholders.

    Foster partner and lawyer engagement to advocate for LPM principles and benefits firm-wide.

    Establish and operationalize a flexible yet standardized LPM methodology, supported by relevant templates and tools.

    Present and promote LPM processes and enhancements through various internal and external forums.

    Collaborate with practice group leads to oversee the daily operations of the LPM team and ensure quality service delivery.

    Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities for LPM team members.

    Assist Marketing and Business Development in articulating the firm's LPM capabilities to clients and prospective clients.

    Forge strong relationships with Business Services teams to enhance LPM support infrastructure.

    Drive the adoption of relevant technologies to streamline matter delivery and financial analysis.

    Monitor and evaluate the performance of the LPM team, communicating achievements effectively.

    Stay abreast of LPM trends, best practices, and tools to inform ongoing improvements.

    Requirements:

    Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or law degree.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; adept at learning new technologies.

    Extensive project management experience in a senior role, ideally within a large law or professional services firm.

    Deep understanding of law firm management metrics and operational dynamics.

    Advanced knowledge of agile project management and process improvement methodologies.

    Personal attributes include self-motivation, strong interpersonal skills, effective leadership, and strategic thinking.
