International Law Firm
Manchester - Hybrid working (2 days per week in the office - city centre)


LHH Recruitment Solutions (formerly Badenoch & Clark) is partnered with a leading international law firm, assisting with the appointment of a
Global HR Mobility Manager. The role can be based from the Manchester office, 2 days a week office presence.


We're looking for someone who has worked within HR supporting global mobility, potentially an experienced HR Business Partner or HR Manager in an international company, or an individual who has been responsible for global mobility as a large part of theirprevious role/s.

The
Global HR Mobility Managerwill build up this function - there is an existing policy and process in place, however it's typically led by managers alongside the HR Advisory team; this is a new role and this person willhave full ownership of the process (there is a Global Mobility Tax Manager this person would work closely with in terms of the practicalities of cross-border deployment).


Responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Being the expert within the HR function for all matters related to crossborder movement of employees
  • Advising the business/managers on international requests, pushing back where required, ensuring that any assignments/transfers are well thoughtout, relevant, and executed efficiently and compliantly.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the HR team and business leaders on selection of appropriate Global Mobility policy and all mobility related matters.
  • Responsible for the forecasting of Global Mobility costs and considerations for budgeting processes, including cost projections.
  • Advocate of Global Mobility, actively educate and share knowledge with the business/managers to promote the understanding and enhanced appreciation for the value of using mobility (in its many forms) strategically for talent development as well as to achievebusiness objectives.
  • Work with the Senior HR Manager and external immigration partners to provide employment immigration support and find practical solutions.
  • In collaboration with the Global Mobility Tax Manager, advise and ensure proper administration of expatriate payroll, compensation, and benefits including shadow payroll.

Experience required:

  • Experience working within a HR team within a global organisation
  • Experience supporting with international relocation and relevant considerations
  • An understanding of expatriate tax and immigration compliance principles and legislation
  • Commercial mindset
  • A collaborative leader who is able to influence senior stakeholders
  • Appreciation for the value of global mobility within talent development
