    We currently have an opportunity for a Processing Lead - Finance to join our team at SNAP in Norwich working Monday to Friday 35hrs per week

    The Finance team play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operations of our back-office finance functions. This role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities including invoicing, self-billing, purchase ledger management, bank payment processing, and team management. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and experience on the end-to-end finance processing procedures and best practice, adept at handling unforeseen challenges, thinking on their feet, and effective at leading a team of experienced team members.

    Key responsibilities for the role will be to:

    • Oversee all aspects of invoicing, self-billing, purchase ledger, and bank payment processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments.
    • Act swiftly and decisively to address any issues or discrepancies that may arise in the invoicing or payment process.
    • Lead an experienced team of Finance processing activities, providing guidance, support, and leadership to ensure team objectives are met.
    • Work closely with Customer Service, Credit Control, Management Accounts teams.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer-facing communication related to Finance operations, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and service.
    • Advocate for the Finance team and the broader business, effectively communicating needs, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Identify areas for software improvement in invoicing processes and effectively communicate these needs to the development team.
    • Collaborate with the development team to ensure software enhancements are implemented effectively and meet the needs of the Finance team.
    • Proactively raise any issues or concerns, providing timely and confident communication to stakeholders.

    What we are looking for:

    • Demonstrated experience in ledger accounting, bank reconciliations, and transaction reconciliations.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience of financial ledger software (such as Sage or equivalent).
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to think critically, problem-solve, and make decisions under pressure.
    • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role preferred, but not required.
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred, but not required.
    • Has a full, clean driving license.
    • Displays critical thinking and credible presentational capability.
