We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Credit Risk Specialist to join our Asset Management Risk team.

The role
The Credit Risk Specialist will provide oversight of Equity Releases Mortgages (ERM) ratings; work on credit and economic research; and conduct credit models validation.
They will also work with senior members of the team in reviewing, challenging and making recommendations on internal ratings and methodologies covering the full spectrum of asset classes under Phoenix Shareholder assets portfolio including Commercial Real Estate, Infrastructure, Corporates and Public Finance.
The Credit Risk Specialist will support the review of the appropriateness of internal credit ratings and asset class aspects of strategic asset allocation and investment mandates.
This is a role offering a unique opportunity for a qualified actuary to develop credit analysis skills and acquire a broad yet deep understanding of asset management risk.
What are we looking for?
You will be a qualified actuary with strong interest in credit analysis and macroeconomics and advanced modelling skills.
Previous credit experience desirable but not essential, as you will have opportunity to learn credit working with senior credit specialists.
You will bring to the team your actuarial expertise, and strong excel and coding skills with a familiarity in at least one coding language, such as C++, VBA, Java, Python, etc.
