Your key responsibilities will include:
To independently manage the negotiation and delivery of land and access rights for a portfolio of capital investment projects, customer connections, cable inspections and cable maintenance projects.
To manage and ensure a high standard of service from consent contractors, where these are utilised, including directing and overseeing contractor's negotiations relating to wayleaves, servitudes, land purchases, lease agreements, compensation events and access permissions.
Develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Independently work to identify land rights related risks and devise an approach to report, mitigate and manage those risks.
Proactively provide cost and risk information to inform setting and management of budgets and programme.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
Experience securing land rights – servitudes, land purchases, leases and access agreements.
Experience of working with key stakeholders, such as The Crown Estate, landowners, tenants, agents, local authorities, national agencies.
Good working knowledge of and application of land rights, planning process and land compensation principles.
A full, current driving licence.
