    The Insight & Analytics Service at Norfolk County Council is looking for a Lead Analyst to join our team. In this exciting leadership role, you will apply your expert analytical knowledge to inspire, manage and develop an inclusive team of senior analysts, analysts and assistant analysts, engaging with stakeholders and representing the team's capabilities, products & services alongside their purpose and values to audiences both internal and external.

    Norfolk County Council is the main local authority for Norfolk, providing countywide services to the county's residents. We take a lead in critical policy areas, and work in partnership with local businesses, voluntary organisations and other local authorities to provide the people of Norfolk with first class services. The Insight & Analytics service is tasked with ensuring we can harness the potential of our data, using evidence and best practice to support and inform decisions around policy, strategy, plans and budgets, and in turn to deliver ambitious outcomes for Norfolk.

    The role is within the CES & Enabling Services team, and that interprets and makes sense of large volumes of complex data from multiple sources to provide evidence based analysis, insight and predictive intelligence products and trusted assessments, advice and guidance to support NCC's strategic goals and its enabling services. These include support to Human Resources, Growth and Investment, Strategy, Design and Delivery, Finance, Digital Services and our people and finance system, myOracle. The team also supports Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, Communities and Environment, Strategic Finance and our Infrastructure Portfolio.

    You will be a confident communicator, able to ensure and lead the provision of succinct, engaging and relevant narratives to bring data to life for internal and external stakeholders. You will be customer focused, accountable and confident in prioritising and planning and managing multiple activities and projects. You will welcome challenging goals and take ownership of the personal development and performance of yourself and your team. You will also be ambitious, continuously looking for innovative ways to improve by increasing the quality, impact and effectiveness of outputs, whilst demonstrating your high degree of professional analytical knowledge, technical expertise, business skills and understanding of complex organisational challenges. You will work alongside the CES & Enabling Services Business Insights Manager to understand all aspects of the team's mission and to influence its development, and to allow you to deputise as needed, representing both the team and broader I&A role and purpose.
