    Job Purpose
    To lead and manage the operations BU to meet targets, maintain quality standards and maximise productivity.

    The role is instrumental in creating and sustaining a good working environment, and encouraging team working, flexibility and adherence to procedures.

    Duties & responsibilities

    • Execution of H&S strategy for area of responsibility, fostering a pro-active culture with regards to audits, near misses and all other elements that fall within this field.
    • Conducting accident investigations in a timely manner ensuring robust preventative measures are put in place.
    • Creation and adherence to a sustainable 6S culture across all levels within area of responsibility.
    • Driving Quality performance within area of responsibility as part of site zero defects strategy, ensuring utilisation of defined processes/tools to assist in root cause corrective action implementation and rework reduction projects.
    • Responsible for the management of overtime, productivity analysis and optimisation of subcontract/despatch in line with departmental targets, pro-actively seeking to reduce costs/increase performance where applicable.
    • Assist in the management of inventory, WIP and finished goods in line with optimal levels.
    • Delivery of world class stock take performance, ensuring inventory accuracy of 99.98%.
    • Management of continuous class leading customer performance metrics (OTIF, arrears) across all product lines, participating in regular reviews to address any poor performing areas.
    • Implementation and execution of visual production planning across all product lines, pro-actively developing recovery plans where behind MPS plan.
    • Maintaining active communication cross functionally and with the customer.
    • Analysing forward requirements on a short term horizon, identifying potentials risks with mitigating actions actively reviewed and delivered ahead of potential impact.
    • Monitoring and execution of training/people development through training matrix analysis, timely delivery of training plans and 30/60/90 day onboarding.
    • Sustaining a high-performance team through key tools such as 1:1's, PDRs and if required capability procedures.
    • Work alongside the Maintenance department on preventative and planned Maintenance activities, whilst operationally sustaining 100% adherence to autonomous maintenance checks.
    • Participate and support key site projects assisting in delivering these in line with target dates.
    • Follow the company disciplinary and absence management processes when required.
    Skills & Qualifications

    • Educated to degree level.
    • Qualification in leadership or management.
    • Qualification in lean tools & principals or Six Sigma.
    • IOSH or other H&S qualification
    * · 5 year's experience in a similar industry/business in operations management, project management or similar roles.
