Key Purpose Statement


The Supply Planning Manager's critical purpose is to develop and lead the Supply Planning team, supporting professional growth and continuously improving how the department works, whether this is efficiency or business KPIs.


The Supply Planning Manager will work closely with the Demand Planning Manager, Logistics peers and the breweries to ensure delivery of a supply plan that enables production and delivery of finished product in line with customer and business metrics.

, you will lead a team of 5 (department of 12), guidingthem on process and systems improvements, and taking a leadership role in the development of changes across the Supply Chain team


Key Accountabilities

  • Managing, coaching, and developing a team of 5 Supply Planners.
  • Providing full support for the team for their daytoday operation, assisting with planning priorities, decision making, problem solving and as a first point of escalation.
  • Lead on key projects to drive a continuous improvement agenda with particular focus on the switch from current manual processes to a system base MRP process.
  • Participate in and provide supply chain support for a range of cross functional projects including the NPD process.
  • Represents the Supply planning function in the S&OP process
  • Monitor product sales performance & recommending action.
  • Communication of potential at risk or low stock position to the rest of the business
  • Liaise with Purchasing to determine appropriate supplier contracts & services.
  • Identifying and implementing process/system improvements.
  • Keg purchasing forecast and agree annual Capital Budget and once agreed, place orders through procurement and ensure keg population remains adequately covered without exceeding cycle times and capital budgets.

Profile description:

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a similar supply chain role, preferably in the drinks industry, with a solid understanding of production processes
  • Experience working within an operational/manufacturing environment essential.
  • Experience of handson Planning and Stock Control prepared to roll their sleeves up and dive into the detail
  • Experience of using a modern ERP planning system, ideally with exposure to implementation
  • Change management experience
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing people, with a sympathetic managerial style
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects in a fastpaced environment with a proven track record for delivering results on large, cross functional, international milestone projects
  • High degree of computer literacy required
