    Maintenance Shift Engineer

    4on 4off - Days + Nights £45,557 Burton Upon Trent Calling all engineers looking for a role with career progression, stability, and growth Are you seeking a fast-paced maintenance role where you can achieve long term career development and grow within a market leading company?     Maintenance Shift Engineer - Primary Purpose of the Role You will be responsible for working in a clean automated environment completing engineering maintenance duties whilst following health and safety regulations.

    As a key member of the Maintenance team, you will ensure the smooth operation of the facility, you will fulfil all aspects of the role following working procedures and safe systems of work where appropriate, to carry out repairs, breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance, reporting any equipment fault or malfunction that cannot be fixed.

    To work with; conveyor systems, ASRS systems, sortation systems, scanning and labelling equipment as well as motors and sensors. Key Accountabilities Maintain all materials handling equipment and ensure an efficient operation of the Building Management System
    Mechanical strip-down/re-assembly, basic field wiring, machine calibration and system testing.
    Look to continuously improve all aspects of new and old equipment, be health and safety conscience.
    Work against timeframes to complete reactive repairs.
    Service and repair current installed products and demonstrate hands on ownership of issues to achieve a fast resolution.

    Able to interpret electrical circuit diagrams and work with 415V motor controls.
    PLC fault finding understanding.

    Ensure plant and equipment remain clean and to ensure the maintenance stores and workshop areas are kept clean and tidy.

    To take delivery of maintenance spares and equipment as required, locating in stores or maintenance workshop.
    Assist in the completion and review of risk assessments for the department
    Undertake regular health & safety inspections with the Site Management Team Competencies Excellent communication skills
    Ability to work to tight deadlines and/or under pressure.

    Planning & Organisation:

    paying close attention to detail Qualifications/Experience - NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in an Electro-Mechanical Engineering discipline NVQ level 3 or equivalent in engineering (electrical or mechanical) Experience of working within a similar role (FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Waste to recycling, Baggage Handling, Automated warehousing) A proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

    Experience of working within a high-pressured environment Specific Skills/Knowledge Essential Desirable Ability to prioritise and manage own workload. Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and level of accuracy Flexible approach to working hours. A proven ability to take ownership of tasks and situations. Displays an enthusiastic approach to the role.

    Good level of PC Skills Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern made of up 12 hour shifts working both days and nights hour shift, our client can offer a fantastic salary, pension scheme, private healthcare, as well as the opportunity to work with market leading technologies within the warehousing and logistics sector.
