Page Group are recruiting on behalf of an Academy Trust with an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join their accounting team.

The successful applicant will manage the budget and accounts for three schools within the trust, partnering with Head Teachers and working closely with the wider finance team and the other Hub Finance Managers.

The successful applicant will manage the budget and accounts for three schools within the trust, partnering with Head Teachers and working closely with the wider finance team and the other Hub Finance Managers.


Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and manage the budget, tracking income and expenditure
  • Monitor cash flow and report to the Head Teacher
  • Business partner with the Head Teachers and other budget holders
  • Maintain the finance system
  • Produce financial reports and information for monthly reviews for the Senior Leadership team and Governors
  • Oversee the daytoday handling of cash and banking
  • Oversee and support with transactional finance including sales invoices and credit control
  • Prepare and submit VAT return
  • Manage month procedures including prepayments, accruals, fixed asset mgmt., balance sheet reconciliations, and journal postings
  • Other duties as required

Profile

  • Relevant accounting experience
  • Relevant budget management experience
  • Relevant financial business partnering experience
  • Good computer literacy including finance software
  • Good communication skills

Job Offer


The role is offering between c.£35.5K-£41.5K, as well as hybrid working, free parking, excellent pension scheme, EAP, permanent role, full time (37hrs).

The role is based in Seacroft, Leeds.
