The Shipping Administrator role provides the foundation to join a fast paced environment within a world leader in specialised logistics - develop, gain and maintain an understanding of Imports/Export shipments and the infrastructure of the operations.


Client Details


My Client is a reputable Logistics service provider to various industries within freight, waste management and metal import and export.

They have been around for over 40 years and currently employ around 3,500 people globally. Pioneering the net zero carboninitiative by 2040.


Description
The Shipping Administrator who will be reporting into the Shipping Supervisor will have the following responsibilities;

  • Processing and production of documentation for letters of credit, documentary collections and other payment methods
  • Processing Export letters of Credit full end to end.
  • Reviewing and daily updating of loading/ discharging operation and communicate shipment progress to customers
  • Management of customer accounts + resolving queries
  • Communicating with customers to ensure timely and efficient payments.
  • Managing, generating and distributing of information, schedules reports etc.
  • Provide administrative support to Shipping department.
  • Commuting to Warrington.

Profile
The Ideal Shipping Administrator will have the following skills and attributes;

  • Degree educated standard (Proffered)
  • Experience in Deep sea operations and good knowledge (Proffered)
  • Understanding in Letters of Credit and International Trade Environment or International Shipping Environment.
  • Knowledge of Bills of Lading, Incoterms, UCP 600, URC 522, URR725, ISBP 74
  • Self Starter & Work under a pressurised environment
  • High standard of IT skills (Excell, Word, Outlook).
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Commutable to Warrington
