    The ONE Group are proud to be partnering exclusively with the Broadgate Group, a family-owned business based in Spalding with a proud history and an excellent reputation in the local house building sector as they look to appoint a Group Financial Controller.

    Since the creation of the core business of building new home developments; all of which are highly respected in their area of operation, both professionally and in the community.

    This growth and diversification of this well-established group offers an exciting, multifaceted opportunity for the right person to shape its' financial management and reporting systems for the organisation, as it enters its next growth phase.

    The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial functions for this unique combination of companies.

    As a senior role, the Financial Controller will contribute to the financial strategy for the group and play a pivotal role in supporting the growth and profitability of the company by ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and systems, in line with current standards and legislation.

    The role will oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations including:

    cash flow, liquidity and capital resources to support the growth and expansion within the group Manage tax compliance alongside the external accounts, including VAT, PAYE, CIS and other relevant tax matters.

    Financial Conduct Authority reporting and regulations Communicate with and report to banks.

    accurate and timely management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheet, cash flow statements, work in progress calculations.

    year end accounts and audit files for external audit; and implement robust financial risk management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards; to identify and mitigate financial risks.

    and monitor budgets, both by individual company, business segment, department and project.

    with other internal departments to ensure financial accountability throughout the organisation Prepare accurate relevant and reliable financial forecasts and analysis to support strategic decision making Liaise internally and externally in relation to financial aspects of land and site appraisals and financial aspects of planning applications.

    a small finance team with a results driven work environment.

    The ideal candidate for this will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), with at least 3 years prior experience of leading a finance function.

    A strong technical accounting pedigree is essential, as is experience in both strategic analysis and process improvement.

    Please note this role is 100% office based in Weston Hills, Spalding.
