COMMERCIAL LEAD
At a time of growth, now is an exciting time to join this top housing organisation, as Commercial Lead.

As a key member of the team you will be responsible for ensuring property maintenance services and projects are delivered to budget whilst complying to legislation and standards.

Role Purpose
Your focus as Commercial Lead will be in the procurement and commercial delivery of maintenance services.

You will minimise costs and risks of construction projects and maintenance services, whilst enhancing value for money, all whilst achieving quality and legal standards required.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing contracts commercially using your expertise and understanding of contract law. You will highlight areas of financial risk and assist in actioning. You will be accountable for financial delivery, reporting and forecasting within your team. You'll enjoy building strong effective relationships with internal teams and external contractors and suppliers.

Your Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

You will be an experienced Commercial/Procurement Manager/Lead
You'll have knowledge and experience in procurement and the commercial delivery of construction/property contracts in the public/private sector
Strong knowledge of building legislation and property maintenance best practice
Ideally experienced in the social housing sector
You'll be used to working financially on budgets, with excellent skills in planning, tracking and forecasting, along with highlighting risks
Hold a full UK driving licence

Your Personal Qualities:

Strategic thinking with excellent commercial acumen
Positive people first approach with good communication and networking skills
Commercially aware with strong commercial, financial, and analytical skills
Highly organised, excellent attention to detail
Strong IT skills (Excel proficient)
Enjoys working as part of a team, with the ability to also work autonomously

Salary:
£55,000 - £67,000 DOE, plus competitive benefits

Location:
Blandford, Dorset area

Contract:
Full time, permanent position, with flexible working.
