Estimator (Mid/Senior)

£50,000-£70,000On behalf of my client, I am actively recruiting for a mid/senior Estimator to work for specialist civil engineering contractor working across the UK.

As a Senior Estimator, you will:
Review project drawings, contracts, and specifications to understand scope, materials, and requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to gather essential project information.
Calculate and prepare detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Utilize cost databases, historical data, and industry benchmarks for accuracy.
Collaborate with the project team to establish and monitor project budgets.
Attend monthly CVR meetings for feedback on current projects.
Prepare comprehensive bid packages, including cost breakdowns, schedules, and proposal documents for clients and subcontractors.
Stay current with industry standards and regulations affecting civil engineering projects. Experience in producing winning bids for projects ranging from £500k to £20m.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and support multiple teams in various remote locations.
Proficiency in using construction estimating software and spreadsheet applications, including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
Auto-Cad Experience.
