What does the role look like?
Join Actuation Systems UK as an IPT Lead, taking charge of Engineering and/or In-service programs.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Functional Engineering disciplines, Project Teams, Supply Chain, Quality, Programme Managers, and Operations leadership to ensure seamless execution.

Your role will involve driving New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives and providing vital support to production work packages, ensuring timely resolutions to challenges.

A key aspect of this role is nurturing strong customer relationships.

As the main point of contact, you'll engage proactively with customers, understanding their needs thoroughly and ensuring deliverables align with their expectations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Review and approve project plans to ensure that all engineering deliverables are clearly defined.
  • Monitor projects to ensure adherence to schedule, cost, and engineering deliverables, addressing technical issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with the associated Programme Manager to maintain financial and resource forecasts for the project(s).
  • Establish engineering project forecasts for resource allocation and expenditure to support annual budget planning.
  • Review and manage technical risks, developing mitigation plans and proactively addressing them through regular reviews to support project plans.
  • Coordinate and manage the Project Team through regular startup meetings.
  • Facilitate communication from Senior Management to engineering staff and serve as an upward conduit for feedback from engineering staff to senior management.
  • Provide effective and timely reporting of project status.
Implement a 'visible management' philosophy to ensure transparency and accountability within the team.

  • Demonstrate leadership by effectively leading a team of engineers and technicians, maximizing team performance.
  • Allocate and manage project tasks among team members.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to facilitate staff development through mentorship of team members.
  • Ensure product engineering meets specifications, including compliance with technical requirements, statutory regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Monitor and control product costs to meet agreed targets.
  • Monitor issues related to inservice use of project equipment and implement timely corrective actions as required.
  • Address and resolve FRACA (Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action) issues raised within the team.
