Insurance Claims Advisor

Salary £28,000 - £30,000

Hybrid working model

Based - Long Eaton
The role


This is a unique opportunity for a Insurance Claims Advisor to join a professional team of insurance superstars It's a friendly but professional environment within a well-known successful company based in Long Eaton.

There will be lots of progression opportunities within this organisation.


The duties:

  • Respond to clients at the counter and deal with their enquiries
  • Record all conversations with customers and/or insurers or other relevant business contacts in accordance with the firms procedures
  • Provide new business quotations and advice for Personal Lines and complete mid term adjustments
  • Draw client's attention to all information pertinent to their insurance, including duty of disclosure, warranties, and onerous conditions etc.
  • Place accepted quotations with the relevant insurer and update in house system
  • Complete renewals within agreed service standards
  • Check thoroughly all client documentation prior to dispatch and correct as required
  • Ensure all processes follow the firm's Practices and Procedures manual
  • Control your own diary
  • Debt control of own allocated book of business
  • Ensure the supplies of insurance literature are maintained and uptodate
  • Assist with training colleagues as required

Experience required:

  • Proven track record of personal lines insurance
  • Knowledge of Acturis system
  • Full cycle EDI
  • Knowledge of the key covers and significant terms and conditions of all policies that are recommended
  • Experience of the Personal insurance markets
  • Knowledge of FCA
  • Data Protection
  • Money Laundering
  • Bribery & Corruption
  • Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)
