This full-time role comes with a salary of up to £45,000 and excellent benefits.


Our role


In this procurement role, you will act as a Buyer for a spend category within the Electricity North West Procurement team.

The position will initially involve working on projects within the Support Services Category, but will ultimately involve working within a matrix structure across other categories based on business demands.

In your first few weeks in this Buyer role, you can expect to:

  • Deliver procurement activities of varying size and scope on time and at an affordable cost
  • Deliver against the procurement strategy for individual products and services, influencing specification and considering commercial aspects, operational risk, economies of scale, innovation and efficiency
  • Act as a point of reference within the business with regard to procurement legislation and procurement best practice, ensuring compliance throughout
  • Initiate and manage tender and prequalification exercises to meet business requirements
  • Develop, maintain and influence a network of contacts across the business, industry and supplier base.
To succeed in this Buyer job, you will need to be professionally qualified in or working towards CIPS. You will also require detailed knowledge of procurement processes. In addition, you should have excellent communication skills and analytical ability. An understanding of UCR procurement legislation is also desired but not essential.


In return for your dedication, collaboration and commitment, you will receive a salary of £35,000 - £45,000 DOE and a compelling benefits package, joining a welcoming and inclusive culture.
