Electrical Design Engineer

Permanent Staff | Nr. A leading engineering company who design and manufacture special purpose machinery.

This is a position that will require a hands-on Electrical Design Engineer.

The role will include working closely with Mechanical Design, Project and Software teams to provide control panel layouts, schematics drawings with component and cable specification and support to the installation teams and clients.

Generation of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams

PLC/HMI selection in conjunction with the Software department.

Specification and sourcing of components, consumables and other hardware in conjunction with purchasing and software department to meet requirements and project cost targets

Working to the appropriate legislation/standards specific to the project. Working alongside the Mechanical Design department to package the control system.

Be Qualified to HNC/HND standard or above preferably in an electrical engineering related subject.

Have previous electrical CAD experience specifically with Eplan Pro Panel (Eplan not essential).

Have time proven practical electrical wiring experience. mechanical experience would also be beneficial.

Knowledge of PLC hardware and software such as, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley & Siemens.

Is experienced in reading and interpreting technical drawings and interpret data in written/numerical form on electrical systems
