A fantastic new opportunity working as a full-time Payroll and Pension Manager role based in Manchester. This 11-month temporary role has an excellent pay rate on offer between £ £25.00 per hour.

My client is part of the Public Sector and Government that publishes guidelines for health and social care in England.


Description

The key responsibilities of a Payroll and Pension Manager will include, but may not be limited to;

  • Produce accurate and timely payments, ensuring statutory requirements are met
  • Providing advice relating to payroll, expenses and pensions
  • Maintain the highest professional standards
  • Daytoday operation management of activities relating to the payroll and expenses function
  • Develop and actively manager productive professional relationships
  • Identify improvements to systems and procedures and inform relevant people where appropriate
  • Monitor and delegate work and line manage administrative staff in the Payroll & Expenses team
  • Lead of managing the contract with the chosen payroll provider
  • Develop payroll plans that fall outside the payroll contract
  • Lead on payroll contract renegotiation
  • Provide advice to senior management on all pension matters
  • Reconcile balance sheet pay codes
  • Present data in reports

Profile

The successful Payroll and Pension Manager must possess the following skill set and experience.

  • Background working in Public Sector and Government
  • AAT Level 3 or equivalent
  • Expert knowledge of legislative requirements in payroll, pensions, and expenses
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex financial information
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Background of the NHS Electronic Staff Record system OR Oracle user desirable
  • Good attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
  • Background working in a busy and pressured environment
  • Team management experience
  • Coordinating and managing multiple projects
  • Ability to develop and implement office processes and procedures
