    Job Description

    Technical Network are working in partnership with a market leading global manufacturer who are looking for an Operations Director for one of their Midlands based production facilities

    Role:

    Operations Director Salary:

    Six figure package Location: Herefordshire (relocation assistance available)Reporting to the Managing Director responsible for all production operations and output to achieve customer orders OTIF , OEE and meeting high safety & quality metrics.

    You will be a strong communicator and will be a key advocate for engagement with internal stakeholders, workforce, unions & external stakeholders to promote operational efficiency, quality, health & safety, people development, cost efficiency & delivery.

    Key Responsibilities for the

    Operations Director:
    o Ensuring that all areas of the business are delivering on time & on budgeto Driving Health & Safety and working to develop a strong culture on siteo Leading the organisation on its Lean Journey, you will be a key player in continuous improvement in productivity and efficiencyo Providing overall direction in terms of cost effective operations & planningo Assuring the continuing Quality of productso Improving the performance of all of your direct reports as strong communication with themKey Requirements for the

    Operations Director:

    Applications are sought from experienced Senior leadership professionals with a tangible record of success in an Operational or Manufacturing Management capacity gained in a manufacturing environmento Background gained in aerospace, automotive, performance materials, medical devices or similar highly regulated quality metric manufacturing sector essentialo Strong lean toolbox – strong understanding and ability to drive Continuous Improvement activity.

    o Demonstrating a history achieving profit and business growth through effective planning, cost control & full operational P&L leadershipo Strong communication skills is key; forging relationship with the workforce headcount at the businesso Qualification in Engineering or Technical discipline (Degree, HNC, HND), ideally with additional professional qualifications (ILM, MBA, IOSH etc)
