On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a Project Manager to support the ESG Sustainable investments programme on
an initial 6-month contract based in
M&G's London Offices on a hybrid working pattern of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working from home.


Purpose of the Role:


The Project Manager will support the ESG Programme Manager and will work with a small team of business analysts on this initiative and is responsible for overall delivery of the project and depending on capacity may work on other initiatives across the programme.

Key stakeholders include the Chief Investment Officer, the Head of Sustainable Investment, investment leads and the ESG Programme Director


As a Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Overall delivery of the planned activities for the initiative from discovery, through definition,requirements, solutioning, delivery and implementation
  • Work closely with the Programme Leads to ensure ongoing communication and alignment
  • Support and work collaboratively with the respective Business Leads to ensure ongoing monitoring of the key activities delivered and refreshment of the plans
  • Identify the key risks and issues that the relevant initiatives are running and ensure mitigating/resolution actions are fully considered and managed
  • Record and update relevant risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies in the Programme RAIDs log
  • Identify and monitor any resourcing requirements specific to the initiatives and record them in the Programme Resourcing Tracker
  • Work closely with the PMO and other project leads across the wider programme, to ensure consistently and alignment of the milestones delivered and any related dependencies
  • Ensure there is ongoing communication with the technology team and align deliverables and activities accordingly
  • Write reports and provide regular (verbal and written) updates to different forums/stakeholders
  • Support the initiative's Business Leads in producing materials and reviewing documentation
  • Responsible for escalating and resolving issues if they arise

Experience:


  • Significant front office investment management industry experience
  • Experience of managing and delivering projects across design and delivery phases within a regulated Financial institution
  • Knowledge of ESG within an Asset Manager / Insurance advantage but not essential
  • Significant experience of managing sizeable change projects
  • Experience of leading business transformation, working with key stakeholders through the design and implementation of change
