    Lloyd's is seeking a skilled Portfolio Analytics Associate to join our team and play a key role in optimizing market performance.

    In this role, you will:

  • Help deliver advanced analytics, tools, and insights to enable risk-based oversight and drive continuous market improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop effective methodologies, tools, and controls for market oversight.
  • Support analytical projects focused on managing Lloyd's market performance.
  • Develop innovative methods to evaluate performance and enable better forward-looking assessments.
  • Design approaches to measure and target a sustainable portfolio mix, considering risk vs reward and Lloyd's strategic direction.
  • Establish Portfolio Analytics as the central hub for market data and analytics.
  • Become as a data subject matter expert for underwriting data returns, leading initiatives to enhance data quality, insight, and alignment.
  • Run and automate key quarterly processes, including Risk Based Oversight, Quarterly Business Review, PIP Triage, Underwriting Risk Appetite reporting, and Management Information for Executives.
  • Foster collaboration across departments, particularly with Finance, Predictive Analytics, Capital, and Data.
  • To be successful, you will possess:

  • The ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise language for various audiences.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • A problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills to prioritize effectively.
  • In addition, you will have:

  • A basic understanding of insurance analytics methods and current knowledge of data science.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (Qlik Sense, Tableau, or Power BI).
  • Experience with data management tools (Business Objects and SQL).
  • Knowledge of statistical and data science techniques, including modern languages like R and Python.
  • Experience in the following areas is a plus:

  • Analytical role within the insurance industry.
  • Engaging with and managing expectations of senior and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leading change initiatives, developing models, introducing controls, and improving processes.
  • Project management experience.
  • Data manipulation and analysis using R or Python.
  • Building data visualization tools using Qlik Sense, Tableau, or Power BI.
