    Description

    The role

    The University of Campus Division has a full-time position for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team and help us provide the best possible service to the University of Bristol Dental School. The role is critical in ensuring that all students, visitors, occupiers, and patients receive a professional service. You will be required to work both as part of a team and independently to deliver the high standards required by the Dental School.

    In accordance with the University's Disclosure and Barring Policy (DBS), this role involves a significant proportion of time spent in a clinical setting where healthcare is delivered. Therefore, it is subject to receipt of a satisfactory Standard DBS check prior to the start date. Re-checking will occur every three years while in the role.

    What will you be doing?

    As part of Campus Operations, undertake a broad range of responsibilities, including delivering, sorting and collecting of post, receiving and distributing deliveries, checking room bookings and performing fire compliance testing. You will also complete general manual handling tasks, including setting up rooms for meetings or events, removing waste from the building and ensuring building entrances and steps are clear and tidy.

    You will deal with a wide range of enquiries from university staff, students, and members of the public, giving the most efficient and accurate help and advice in a friendly, calm, and welcoming manner.

    Working pattern:

    Grade C, 35 hours per week, Mon - Fri, 13.00 – including 30 min break)

    You have previous experience in a customer-focused environment. You will be a people person who is positive, helpful, and caring.

    You will have good IT skills, including being comfortable using Outlook, Excel, and Word. In addition to your experience, you will have strong communication skills, including the ability to be polite, welcoming, and empathetic to all.
