- Manage cargo application portfolio.
- Oversee a team of Application Specialists responsible for providing a reliable service.
- Ensure that all day-to-day operational activities are carried out in a timely and reliable way.
- Ensure applications are up and running in alignment with business requirements.
- Maintain an open communicate stream with the business operations and business application specialists to ensure transparency and effective issue resolution.
- Implement IT service lifecycle management processes.
- Inform and manage priorities, considering project/activity interdependencies.
- Implement new ideas and ways to utilise internal/ external resources and best practices to improve organisational performance.
- Challenge the status quo, seek out new, innovative ideas and solutions in response to evolving business challenges and changing customer needs.
- Manage the implementation of identified projects based on a broad and detailed knowledge of current and emerging Cargo industry initiatives.
- Monitor the availability and performance of the applications portfolio.
- Ensure that full support model is in place - identifying gaps and addressing where needed.
- Manage relationship with developers and vendors.
- Ensure effective and pro-active license management for operational needs.

Job Purpose
The Cargo IT Operations Manager is a global role which will take overall responsibility for Cargo Service Operation activities. The role will be responsible for the end-to-end management of Cargo IT applications including some budgetary and reporting responsibilities. It will also include continuous service improvement and developments facilitating necessary changes in an evolving digital landscape.
The Cargo IT Operations Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of application and industry specialists to successfully execute the Cargo portfolio. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record of delivering complex IT initiatives on time, within budget, and with the highest level of quality.
Reporting directly to the Cargo IT Service Manager, the IT Operations Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive alignment between IT initiatives and business objectives, while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
