Description

A position exists for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics to work on verified algorithms for infinite-dimensional spectra, control and data science with Dr Matthew Colbrook.

The PDRA will work on developing robust numerical methods for infinite-dimensional spectral computations and data-driven control (broadly understood) under the project entitled "Verified data-driven algorithms for control and neural network training" funded by the Isaac Newton Trust.

Applicants should have (or be close to completing) a PhD in mathematics or a related discipline.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
