    We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Kirton team in the position of Joiner.

    The purpose of this role is to carry out general repairs and manufacture of equipment within the factory.

    Your duties would include but not limited to the following;

    All tasks carried out as part of the daily job role must be done so in a safe manner, adhering to the Risk Assessment and potential Safe System of Work, as well as the Forterra Health and Safety Zero Harm policy .

    • Manufacture of required materials and equipment using woodworking tools and equipment.
    • Maintenance of woodworking equipment.
    • Safe storage of materials.
    • Project work and installations.
    • Carry out general repairs to buildings, yard areas and equipment.
    • Cleaning of joiners shop to keep waste and off-cuts down to a safe level at all times.
    • Emergency repairs to yard/stocking areas.
    • Concreting repairs to yard/stocking areas.
    • Plumbing repairs to sites services.
    • Roof repairs where accessible internally.
    • Building repairs to include sheeting and minor brick work.
    • JCB duties, to include drainage cleaning and repairs, yard repairs and winter working.
    • Adhere to safety procedures including risk assessments and method statements.
    • Ensure they are aware of all emergency procedures.
    • Report all health and safety concerns to shift supervisor, BST safety leader or management, depending on severity.
    • Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times.

    About You ;

    The occupant of this position must hold an accredited and documented qualification in order to prove their competency and knowledge of working in such an environment.
