Multimodal Freight Forwarder – Oceanfreight-Orientated

Offering a salary of up to £30,000 per year, depending on experience.

Based in Birmingham.

Provisional start date of 10th May 2024.

We are working with a Birmingham-based multimodal freight forwarding organisation, who work within Oceanfreight, Airfreight, Roadfreight, Import & Export, Cross Trade, Domestic, Consolidation and/or Warehousing.

Duties of the Multimodal Freight Forwarder will include:

·Handle the import and export of Oceanfreight and Airfreight shipments.

·Taking initial enquiry and making bookings with Shipping Lines, Hauliers and Airlines.

·Producing and processing all Shipping Documentation and instructions, Customs Entries.

·Invoicing and billing out, maximising profitability.

·Negotiation of rates and costings.

·Following up on quotes and building strong rapports to gain repeat business.

We are seeking a candidate who has gained strong experience of working in Freight Forwarding Operations and is conversant in Seafreight and Airfreight Import and Export shipments. Someone that possesses strong communication skills with a keen eye for detail and excellent knowledge of the Freight Forwarding industry.
