Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for several ambitious Associates with 3+ Years PQE with non-contentious technology, outsourcing and general commercial experience to join our highly talented and award-winning TMT department.
They will be working with one of the UK's top TMT teams, band 1 ranked in technology and telecoms, commercial contracts and data protection, and will have the opportunity to be involved in some of the most innovative work in the field, supported by our team of nearly 100 colleagues based in Scotland, Ireland, England (London and Milton Keynes) and the UAE.
You will have the opportunity to work with household names such as The Edrington Group, Marks & Spencers, National Grid, Argos, EDF Energy, John Lewis, Network Rail, Royal Mail, Sainsbury's, Total, and Virgin Group.
This is a great opportunity to join one of the leading TMT teams in the UK with genuine career development prospects.
You will be given the opportunity to work across a diverse range of TMT work, including intellectual property and data, across different sectors including Technology, Defence, Retail, Government and Energy.
We are also very strong in payments and fintech work in the Financial Services sector, and you will have the chance to be involved in that type of work if you wish.
Our approach is to create a supportive environment by working collaboratively as part of a team servicing particular clients or sectors.
You will be involved in a mixture of technology and commercial deals, some large where you are working as part of a team, and others where you will be able to operate with a greater degree of independence.
Required experience, skills, and attributes
- Having experience working on similar work for sophisticated clients is desired
- Exceptional drafting skills and legal research ability
- Ability to work with a degree of independence
- Dedicated to exceptional client service
- Excellent business development ability
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills, coupled with good business awareness
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrate initiative and drive and take control of own career development
- You will be a team player and sociable
