REED Business support are currently recruiting for a Certificate Administrator on behalf of Reading Borough CouncilJob Purpose
- To issue certified copy certificates of birth, death, marriage and civil partnership entries as requested by members of the public,
- To provide excellent customer service to local residents using Registration services.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a first point of contact for replacement certificate queries, adopting a positive approach to customer care at all times, and ensuring that queries are dealt with accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Process certificate orders placed online via the RBC website or from internal sources within agreed timescales to ensure delivery to the customer in accordance with published standards
- Conduct searches of birth, death and marriage indexes, both manual and electronic, to locate requested entries.
- Reproduce accurate replacement certificates by scanning, type and print or handwritten, which must be legible and without flourishes.
- Be personally responsible for the security of certificate stock and archived registers and maintain accurate stock control and accounting records on behalf of the Superintendent Registrar.
