Description

Greenacres Site in Dartford is a Mental Health Site consisting of 11 wards and various buildings with offices, clinics and training rooms.

As well as the main site you will be expected to cover the hubs and satellites across West Kent which in total is a further 6 smaller sites.

The working environment will include inpatient ward areas with administration buildings, you will be expected to liaise with all teams across the sites and the general public and contractors when coming to site.

Contact with service users will occur on a daily basis when visiting all areas. Full induction, uniform and training will be given to the successful applicants.


The expectation of the role is that you would be working, cleaning and maintaining standards of cleanliness on inpatient wards and admin areas making sure they meet the required NHS standards working alongside clinical staff to achieve a healthy and safe environment for our clients.

We will be recruiting a part time Mobile Cleaner, covering West Kent.

You will be working 21.5 hours per week over a 7-day Rota covering between the hours of 8am and 8pm.

Car owner/driver is essential due to the area to be covered. Fuel expenses will be paid.

  • Maintain a patient focussed Hotel Services function across clinical and nonclinical areas.
  • Ensure standards within the designated areas meet the national cleaning standards across across the sites for the Trust.
  • Report any issues to Site Supervisors, Facilities Officer or Facilities Manager.
  • To undertake a range of duties associated with the upkeep of the clinical environment to meet the requirements of the Trust and the National specification from cleanliness in the NHS.

KEY RESULT AREAS:


  • The daily shift plan is completed in the agreed scale and hygiene standards are met.
  • Cleaning is carried out in accordance with recognised approved Trust methods/procedures.
  • To participate in the Cleanliness in Hospitals Programme.
  • To complete departmental performance monitoring weekly, to achieve and maintain the Trust standard.
  • To ensure waste is disposed of in accordance with the Trust waste disposal policy, assuring Health and Safety standards are adhered to.
  • Removal of rubbish to designated collection points.
  • To wear the uniform provided, and ensure that it is kept cleans and presentable at all times.
  • To wear the staff name badge provided by the Trust at all times when on duty.
  • No jewellery is to be work except a wedding ring and single ear studs.
  • To cooperate with managers and other employees to achieve a healthy and safe environment.
  • To take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of other persons who may be affected by your actions, and to carry out your responsibilities in ways that ensure a safe and healthy place of work.
