Mechanical Engineer – £45k-£60k – Cambridge – Electro-Mechanical

Platform Recruitment has partnered with a high-tech engineering company who develop cutting edge electro-mechanical products from concept stages through to a manufacture. Due to the sustained success of the company and increase in projects, they're looking for a qualified Mechanical Engineer who is experienced and interested in all aspects of product development, including concept generation, prototyping, test, analysis and manufacture.

Main Duties:

+ Full product lifecycle development

+ Mechanism & component design

+ Develop new concepts

+ Validate concepts through calculations

+ 3D CAD design

+ Prototype and test designs

+ Mechanical analysis

Skills and experience required:

+ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

+ Strong 3D CAD skills

+ Background in precision engineering

+ Design for high volume manufacture

+ Experience in different manufacturing processes - injection moulding

+ Solid understanding of mechanical fundamentals including mechanism design, structural and dynamics analysis

The salary will be between £45,000-£60,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefits package available.
