Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who would like to join our Pharmacy Stores team in the Pharmacy Department at Scarborough Hospital.

Applicants must have experience of working within a Pharmacy Stores environment alongside team leading experience and a good understanding of stock management.

This post involves the day to day supervising and supporting a busy pharmacy stores team. Experience in receiving, processing, and delivering medicines and IV fluids to wards is essential to this role.

An understanding of stock management is crucial; this involves checking, receiving, and storing medicines.

Ensuring that medicines are stored appropriately and securely both in pharmacy and on wards, participating in stock-taking and the checking of medicines is an important part of this role, so attention to detail is vital.


The post holder will be responsible for the training of staff and will also undertake various housekeeping duties including dealing with queries, checking, and filing documents, processing waste and excess medicines and other duties supporting the efficient and safe operation of the pharmacy department.
