Teaching Assistant

Full-Time Position

Temporary position

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team of A* educators at a Kirkby-based primary school If you're a "smart cookie" with a passion for education, this could be the perfect opportunity you'vebeen looking for.

Responsibilities:

- "Pencil in" the preparation of materials and resources for classroom activities;

Offer support for students in small group and individual settings;
Report on positive behaviour and discipline in the classroom;
Work with students who have additional needs, including those with learning difficulties and disabilities;
Assist with classroom management and supervision during breaks and lunchtime;
Participate in school meetings and staff training as required.

Requirements:

A minimum of 6 months' experience as a Teaching Assistant;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work well as part of a team;
A commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students;
An understanding of child development and different learning styles;
A qualification in child care or education is desirable, but not essential.
