    Description

    You will get the opportunity to develop your career with us, working on interesting and varied flood, coastal and maritime projects for our clients including the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales and local authorities.

    We undertake feasibility studies to select optimum solutions; prepare business cases to unlock funding; design cost-efficient schemes using the latest digital technologies; provide construction supervision and administrative support; and advise on how to best manage and extend the life of our clients' assets.

    We will provide all relevant training, development and support so that you may further your engineering career. We are a diverse and energetic team and you will play a key role in contributing to our team's and companies' success.

    About the Role

  • Deliver packages of work within budget and work schedule to meet the project requirements
  • Understand project scope and identify contractual change
  • Understand the customer's basic and performance requirements
  • Undertake feasibility assessments, optioneering, outline and detailed design
  • Balance the workload of multiple projects
  • Prepare clear and concise deliverables appropriate for the intended audience
  • Essential Requirements

  • Civil Engineer with necessary qualifications to achieve IEng MICE or CEng MICE or equivalent other institutions.
  • Desire to work proactively towards Incorporated or Chartered membership of the ICE, CIWEM or other equivalent institutions
  • Motivated to work on flood and coastal risk management projects, experience is preferable
  • You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:

  • Experience of working on flood defence and river restoration projects at appraisal, outline design, detailed design and/or constructions stages
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Self-motivated and effective team player.
  • Proactive and methodical approach to problem solving as an individual and as part of a team

  • Be driven to develop and improve your technical skills and advance your career.
