    Job Description

    Sportradar is seeking a B2B communications expert to lead its London-based EMEA communications team. The ideal candidate has strong team management skills and thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving global organization. This is a multi-layered role requiring an understanding of sports betting, sports technology, and sports business in the UK and wider EMEA. The position reports to the US-based Head of Sports Communications.

    • Lead the London-based EMEA communications team, fostering their professional growth and cultivating a high-performing culture.
    • Develop comprehensive communications strategies and tactical approaches to support business strategy and priorities including positioning and consistent and high output of quality.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with media to secure a cadence of positive coverage for company priorities.
    • Write and edit press releases, byline articles, media pitches, briefing notes for stakeholders and other communications materials as required. Coach and advise the team on their written work.
    • Provide strategic direction for internal communications program, engaging and informing employees to drive alignment with organization priorities.
    • Support Crisis Communications and Corporate Communications, as required.
    • Other responsibilities as needed.

    Required Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written/ journalistic skills, with the ability to produce high-quality materials including articles, press releases, briefing documents, media pitches etc. with great accuracy. Must be able to adapt to company requirements.
    • B2B or tech PR experience working in a highly commercial environment, demonstrating the ability to discover stories and angles in-house and communicate benefits of business products and services externally.
    • Significant line management experience with demonstrated ability to lead and develop direct reports
    • Strong media relations skills in both pro-active and issues-led situations.
    • Significant senior stakeholder management experience, able to demonstrate ability to manage a range of situations and handle pressure.
    • Previous internal communications experience, that includes developing strategies to communicate effectively with multi-site employees.
    • A highly engaged approach to work, which can at times require weekend or off hours involvement.
    • Personable, with the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and partners.
    • Exceptionally well-organised, detail-oriented, diplomatic, and solutions-minded.
    • Ability to trouble-shoot issues before they become problematic and quickly adapt to changing requirements.
    • Working knowledge of sports industry and federations.
