    Description

    We are seeking to appoint a substantive Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a forward-thinking, supportive and inclusive school. The successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills and a calm approach to working with children, especially those with additional needs, and with other adults. We are looking for someone who is cheerful, lively, reliable, flexible and hard-working and who is ready to take on the challenges of this role.

    About the role

    We are looking for someone who:

    • has experience as a SENCo, either in a substantive or acting role;
    • has either the NASENCo qualification or is willing to undertake the NPQ for SENCos within three years;
    • has successful experience of leadership at a middle or senior level;
    • has a proven record of effective support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities;
    • has a proven record of successful teaching practice in the primary phase;
    • has an unwavering belief in getting all children to achieve their best;
    • enjoys sharing ideas and working collaboratively as part of an effective team and who actively works in partnership with others.
